Yuna Itsuki (イツキ ユナ, Itsuki Yuna) is a supporting character in Season 3 of Alice in Borderland. She is part of Usagi's Team. She is portrayed by Akana Ikeda.
Appearance[]
Yuna is a young woman with shoulder-length dark hair and straight bangs. She has a round face, large dark eyes, and natural makeup. She wears a dirty bright yellow cardigan over a white T-shirt and blue denim jeans.
History[]
Prior to her arrival at the Borderland, Yuna was a university student. She is Itsuki's younger sister and the only close relative he has left, as their parents died in a car crash during a family vacation. Same as the other participants of the Joker Tournament, Yuna had played the games before, making her Sojourn in Season 3 a return to the Borderland rather than her first visit. However, the games she experienced in the past were not the same ones faced by Arisu and his group. Since Borderland games are created and overseen by individual Citizens, their scale, rules, and format vary depending on who hosts them. Therefore, Yuna's earlier participation took place under different Citizens, resulting in a distinct set of challenges.
Story[]
Yuna and her brother waiting to board a train
The siblings first appear during the "Runaway Train" game. They arrive at a subway station and board a train. The game rules are explained, and the players pick up their equipment: gas masks and arm straps with five canisters of neutralizing agent for the poison gas.
The first door opens, and the announcement instructs the players to proceed to the next car. After they do so, another announcement prompts them to make their first choice, and everyone puts on their gas masks. The first substance is released, and Yuna grabs her brother's arm in panic, but it is quickly revealed to be oxygen. The doors open, the space is ventilated, and the players are invited to proceed to the next car. Everyone puts on their gas masks again, and Yuna gasps when she sees that the bird is dead. Then she happily exclaims that they are safe.
Yuna is happy to have survived without a mask
In the next car, Usagi decides to trust her instincts and not wear the mask, so Yuna asks her brother what they should do, and he agrees to take the risk. The substance is released, and the canary survives, so the players relax. When the doors open again, they see a parallel train, and the participants in that group suddenly collapse, blood pouring from their mouths and eyes.
In the following car, Taro assumes that there is enough space on the roof to store a gas tank, so the car is likely poisoned. The players are divided in their judgment, and Yuna joins those who choose to wear a mask. Those who decided not to wear one begin dying, and one of them collapses onto Yuna, scaring her, but Sohta pulls her away.
Taro deduces that there is no space for a gas tank in car 5, so the players keep their masks off and survive. In car 6, Taro realizes that he was mistaken, so Usagi decides to trust her instincts instead. The others agree, and Yuna puts on her mask. Unfortunately for everyone, the substance released this time is not poison.
Realizing that they have made the wrong choice and sealed their fate, Yuna starts crying. Usagi decides to jump onto another train, and Sohta helps Yuna stand up, reassuring her that they are going to make it. Yuna and Sohta successfully jump first alongside Usagi.
Having survived the game, the group rests in an empty building, where Yuna and Sohta find a new wheelchair for Ryuji.
The next day, Yuna, Sohta, and the others arrive at the next game venue, where a semi-final game begins: "Tokyo Bingo Tower". While climbing up, Yuna is terrified, so Sohta tries to calm her down and talk her through each step. While Sohta tries to press a buzzer, Yuna holds his rope to make sure he does not slip. The balls meant to push players off the tower keep falling down, and Yuna freezes, refusing to move. Sohta insists that they need to keep going in order to clear the game, and she attempts to overcome her fear. Then the siblings witness Taro falling, but they are too far away to help him.
Yuna enters the final game, "Future Sugoroku", alongside Ryuji and her brother.

The game is announced, and Yuna and the others equip collars and wristbands. As the rules are explained, Arisu asks Itsuki and Yuna to introduce themselves and then introduces the rest of his team. The starting room, C3, turns fully white, and four doors appear behind the players, with E3 (yellow) behind the siblings. The players realize that the dice on the white platform in front of them are connected to the doors.
They roll the dice, and the room turns black. The wall screens flicker with multiple videos that reveal the players' possible futures, one of which shows Yuna and Sohta laughing. To minimize point loss, Arisu instructs the siblings to team up with Rei and go to D3, while Arisu, Usagi, Ryuji, Tetsu, Sachiko, and Nobu go to C2 and plan to regroup in D2. Sohta then sees a vision of Yuna smiling and introducing her boyfriend Ken to him at a cafe, so he confirms that the red door is a good choice for them.
In D3, Yuna, Rei, and Sohta end up rolling all twos on the dice, so they are forced to split up. Rei chooses to go north to room D2, while the siblings head east to room E3. They see a vision of Yuna and Ken in a park, happily talking, while Sohta walks past and notices them.
Arisu asks the siblings to stay in E3 so they can return to D3 next round and unlock Rei, since Rei will have to stay behind. Sohta agrees at first but then sees a bad vision, so Yuna invites him to look at the opposite wall, which shows her and Ken announcing their engagement to Sohta. The vision proceeds to Yuna's wedding, and Sohta decides to ignore Arisu's plan, choosing the happy future for his sister. She is hesitant at first, but she follows his lead, and they go through the green door to E4.
Arisu tells Rei that Itsuki and Yuna are heading to D3 to unlock her room, but the siblings proceed from E4 to E5 instead, because Sohta decides to prioritize the possibility of Yuna's future where she is married and pregnant. E5 is a corner room, but it is not the exit and is a minus four room. Sohta volunteers to lose the points, so Yuna's total point count remains at 14.
Yuna and Sohta in C5
Yuna and Sohta are in E5, ignoring Arisu and watching a vision of the two of them talking to Ken. Rei tells Arisu that they have made their choice and decided to save themselves instead of helping her. Then the siblings proceed to D5 off-screen and choose the door that leads to C5 during Round 6.
The duo is in C5, so they can either go to B5 or C4. Sohta rolls the dice, and it results in two ones, and Yuna looks at him in panic because they are forced to split up. He reassures her that they will be okay, and they agree to meet up in B4. Giving each other one last look, they smile and nod, opening the doors and walking through.
Yuna realizing that her brother is about to die
While in B5, Sohta sees a vision of Yuna's child alongside her, him, and Ken. In C4, Yuna rolls the dice and realizes that the door to B4 shows 0 and cannot be opened. She starts banging on the door but in vain, then Arisu and Rei enter C4 and witness Yuna's failed attempts. Panicking, Yuna calls for her brother through the wristband, and he informs her that he is in a minus two point room. She screams as Sohta apologizes for breaking his promise, while looking at a vision of Yuna in a wedding dress. She bursts into tears, hysterically begging him to open the door and not to leave her alone. He cries and asks her to be happy. Devastated, Yuna collapses against the locked door, sobbing. Arisu comes up with a plan to move her and Rei to C5, and Rei picks her up to help her.
Just after Arisu unlocks B4, Yuna spots her brother's lifeless body and rushes to the door. Heartbroken, she lies down beside him, crying and hugging him.
Yuna hugging her brother's body and crying
Yuna remains in B4, sobbing beside her brother's body. Arisu begs her to help them all by using the points from her wristband, and she agrees, informing Usagi of her readiness.
Arisu, Yuna, and Ryuji move to A4 off-screen.
Now in A4, Arisu intends to open the door to A3 from A4, let Yuna run across to A2, and take the eight-point penalty while Usagi tries to retrieve her baby's wristband from A2. Usagi succeeds, Yuna runs in and presses the button on her wristband to deduct the penalty, and Ryuji moves his wheelchair to the doorframe to stop the door from locking. After Arisu and Usagi are safe, Yuna pulls Ryuji away, and the door locks, leaving them all in A3. Yuna's total point count is now two.
The dice are rolled, and the door to the last room, A5, becomes available. Yuna sees a vision of her child hospitalized after being taken by ambulance, while she and her husband wait for the outcome.
All players reunite in A5, and the announcement states that they have all reached the exit room successfully. The collars and wristbands are automatically released and can be removed. However, one last roll is required to leave the venue, and Arisu rolls only seven, while there are eight of them in the room. He volunteers to stay behind, the rest leave the venue, and the doors lock.
The Borderland collapse, and a huge wave washes the players off the platform. They grab onto the metal frame and manage to survive with Arisu's help, hiding inside the game venue. After Arisu saves Usagi, everyone returns to the real world.
Later, Yuna is seen in the real world, where she is in a happy relationship with her boyfriend, whom she plans to introduce to her brother at the cemetery.
