The Two of Spades (スペードの2, Supēdo no Ni), also known as "Human Elevator" (人間エレベーター, Ningen Erebeetaa), is a game featured in Episode 5 of Alice in Borderland.
As a Spades challenge, the game tests players' physical strength, endurance, and dexterity.
Overview[]
Set-Up[]
- Location: Building
- Player Limit: Unknown (potentially 2)
- Time Limit: Until the elevator reaches the top of the building
Rules[]
- Players must hang onto the bottom of an elevator as it rises to the top of a building.
- It is GAME CLEAR if the player manages to hold onto the elevator the entire game.
- It is GAME OVER if the player falls off the elevator.
Details[]
Throughout the journey upwards, the elevator will occasionally stop moving for unspecified amounts of time, thus making the game last much longer than necessary and increasing strain on players' stamina.
Strategy[]
- Depending on the rules, using a shirt or other items of clothing to tie one's hand to the bar could be feasible.
- If the rules do not specify that players must hold onto the bottom of the elevator with their hands, they could wrap their feet around the bar, assuming there is enough space.
- Depending on the rules, players might also be allowed to use a rope to prevent falling off.

Trivia[]
- This game is shown in the Episode 5 montage.
- This game is one of three number card games exclusive to the Netflix adaptation (with the other two being Two of Clubs and Ten of Clubs).
- This game has low difficulty, unlike the other Spades games featured in the show. The Two of Spades requires only physical strength, while games like Five of Spades, Queen of Spades, or King of Spades require players to utilize speed, hand-to-hand combat, and strategy.
