The Ten of Hearts (ハートの10, Haato no Juu), also known as Witch Hunt (魔女狩り, Majokari), is a game featured in Episodes 6 to 8 of Alice in Borderland. It is the last game that needed to be beaten before the Second Stage, and the last game played in Season 1.
Overview[]
Set-Up[]
- Player Limit: Approximately 224 (given the phones)
- Time Limit: Two hours
- Location: Seaside Paradise Resort (Beach headquarters)
- Starting Condition: All players must assemble in the lobby. However, the game can start even if some players have not entered the lobby yet.
Rules[]
- The evil witch who took Momoka Inoue's life is hiding among the players. The "witch" role is not limited to women.
- It is GAME CLEAR when the players find the witch and burn them in the Fire of Judgement.
- It is GAME OVER when the witch has not been burned before the time limit. It is also GAME OVER for any players killed by other players during the game.
Details[]
In the back-side of the lobby, Momoka's dead body is laying on the floor. Although the players originally cooperated, the conflict between the idealists and militants got worse and eventually started a mass murder in the venue, as suggested by Last Boss. Aguni's wrath for the Beach took over him and agreed with the idea. The hotel then converted into a war zone between the two factions.
Solution[]
Momoka is the witch herself. All the players had to do to clear the game was to throw Momoka's body in the fire. The players had deduced this too late to prevent potentially hundreds of innocent deaths. This fact was obscured from everyone due to Arisu being locked up and Aguni's guilt being toyed by the citizens.
Trivia[]
- The Netflix series shows far more players than in the manga, featuring at least a hundred more players.
- Out of all the numbered games, Witch Hunt has the highest player count as well as the highest casualty count. It is the second deadliest game overall, just behind the King of Spades.
- This was the final numbered game that needed to be cleared to move on to the second stage.
