Shitara has a slanted bowl haircut and a Japanese Van Dyke beard style.
Personality[]
Shitara has a generally calm and easy-going nature and is likely the most intelligent member of his team after Kyuma. He also appears to have the strongest understanding of Kyuma's thoughts and habits among the group.
History[]
Five months before Arisu's arrival, Sogo cleared the Three of Spades on the first day together with the rest of his group.
Following the end of the Second Stage, he, along with the others, decided to remain in the Borderland as Citizens.
Story[]
As stated at the beginning of Chapter 33, he is the creator of the "Scoring Points" game. However, having never seen the game in action before, he does not anticipate how it will unfold.
During the King of Clubs game, along with Kyuma, Goken, and Maki, he attempts to attack Arisu's team base so they can reach it simultaneously. However, Shitara is intercepted by Kodai Tatta, causing his points to fall below zero. After the transfer of points is completed and Shitara delivers his parting words to Kyuma, a laser gun appears from the blimp and fires through his head.

Etymology[]
- The forename Sougo consists of the kanji "颯" (sou) (swift, sudden, wind sound) and "胡" (go) (foreign, exotic, distant).
- The surname Shitara is a combination of the kanji "設" (shita) (establish, set up, arrange) and "楽" (ta) (fun, comfort, ease).
