Saori Shibuki (紫吹 小織 Shibuki Saori) is one of the characters in Alice in Borderland.

She is portrayed by Ayame Misaki.

Physical Appearance

Sayori wore a white dress and carried a handbag. She had her hair down.

Personality

Saori is shown to be quite manipulative and cold and uses this to her advantage to get ahead in life and the game. This is shown with her using the girl as the guinea pig to open doors in the first episode telling her to pick a door not knowing the truth.She went as far as sleeping with her boss to help get a promotion in her company. She also seduced Chota to gain his trust and have him doubt his friends.

History

Biography

Throughout the Series

Saori joins Arisu, Chota and Karube at the game and before the game closes a high school girl joins them. As the registration closes he and the others find out that the game is called "Dead or Alive" and that they are playing for the 3. To win she and the other players need to select the correct door within the stipulated time limit and get out the building. She urges them to choose the "live" door, but when the girl does so, she’s shot dead. She and the others make it through the "Die" door and they immediately confront her. In the third room, a punch to the face by Karube jogs Arisu memory over the car outside, he’s able to figure out the rough shape and dimensions of the building and gets the easily through every room. Once outside, they receive a 3 day visa just before a man stumbles into the alleyway, yelling that he’s done with the games before he’s executed with a red laser through through the skull. Realizing their visas correlate to the amount of time they’re allowed to stay alive and that they need to play to survive.

Etymology

  • The name Saori means "small" (小) (sa) and "weave, weaving" (織) (ori).
  • Saori's surname Shibuki means "purple, violet" (紫) (shi) and "blow, breathe, puff, emit, smoke" (吹) (fuki/buki).
