Eiko Yamaguchi (ヤマグチ エイコ, Yamaguchi Eiko) is a friendly and agreeable lady who avoids conflict and goes with the flow, not displaying any sign of regret or worry over lying to others, but showing fear for her own survival. She is portrayed by Akiko Yoshioka. Her English voice-over is done by Pauline Little. Eiko is the first character who appears as Banda walks into the Jack of Hearts game venue, and the camera follows him, showing the room full of players. She stands next to Satomi Aoki and asks her to check what her symbol is while listening to the game rules. Later, she ends up joining Urumi's group with the purpose of telling each other symbols and eventually gets dragged into Urumi's plans to eliminate players one by one by lying to them. Eiko dies in Round 6 or 7; the cause of her death is not revealed but is likely to be the result of Urumi's lies. In a flashback in Episode 4, Eiko briefly appears walking along with Urumi and Satomi when Chishiya reveals Matushita and Kotoko's cookie scheme. |
