Story[]

Tomi first appears when Alice Kojima and Kina Sano join the group. He is the third one to introduce himself after Kunimatsu Mito, the one who initiated the introductions, and a man named Morio Kuki. When giving his name, Tomi also mentions that he is a truck driver, but does not say anything at all afterwards and merely listens to what the others are saying about the situation they are in.

Later, Alice mentions that she is thinking of going back to Tokyo, which causes the group to start discussing it. Tomi eventually apologizes and says he is not going with them. He explains that he was headed to Tokyo on Friday, but his hometown is here. He continues by saying that he has a wife and a child at home, and that he plans to go there first thing in the morning. Looking at his phone, he wonders if he will see them, although he has a feeling that he will not. Hearing this, Alice says that they might have evacuated and that he should not give up until the end, and Tomi thanks her.

Some time after the group sees the message left behind by the one with the King of Clubs card, Tomi walks up to Alice and shows his Face Card, the King of Hearts, to her, saying that he wants to give it to everyone. Alice tries to respond, but before she can, Tomi admits that he does not know whether the card has any meaning, yet on the off chance it does, he wants her to have it. He adds that although he feels compelled to go home, he does not want to trouble the rest of the group. Alice then takes the card from him, commenting that they will be sure to leave guideposts so he can catch up with them again if he ever changes his mind. Tomi smiles before turning his head to look at the man, who states that the others should follow Tomi's example and hand over their cards.

Eventually, Tomi decides to take a nap along with the rest of the group.
