Kaito Yamane (山根 魁翔, Yamane Kaito) is a minor character in Alice in Borderland, who participates in the Four of Clubs game, "Runaway".

Kaito was abused by his father as a child, which influenced his later relationships. He wanted to date an unnamed woman who was used to dating wrong men who mistreated her. His feelings for her were the reason he quit his job that was partly connected to crime, as he thought that continuing in that line of work would place him in the same category as her previous partners. Kaito believed that leaving the job would allow him to avoid repeating the same harmful patterns.

Kaito first appears during the Four of Clubs game. He participates in the trials alongside the other players and reaches the fourth trial. During the game, he realizes that his earlier refusal to help a previously injured player is what has led him to a dead end. He reflects that he may not be different from the men his girlfriend used to date, as he is unable to return to her and believes he has abandoned her. He dies during the fourth trial.
