"Interval" (いんたあばる Intābaru?) is a 3-day period of time after the First Stage ends and the Second Stage begins. It is a pause that allows players to recharge their energy and prepare for new challenges.
Manga[]
As demonstrated in the manga, screens in all game venues display "INTERVAL" due to all the games being paused. Players are allowed to spend their free time relaxing and having fun, and days are not removed from their visas.
Since there is a possibility for either players or Dealers to win the First Stage, either faction can move to the Interval Stage after the victory.
At the end of the Interval, Citizens reveal their faces on big screens and make an announcement about the commencement of the Second Stage.
Netflix[]
In the live action adaptation, the Interval is not properly named or shown, but by the end of it four players, who find the Dealers' base of operations, see the Queen of Hearts announcing that the new Stage is starting on the next day, which prompts everyone to arrive at Shibuya. The presence of other participants, however, indicates that the Queen of Hearts was broadcast across all screens and all venues.
