Summary[]

Continuing where the previous chapter left off- Dodo is now currently on the 18th floor, only having to go up 2 more to win the game. Dodo however, begins to think back to the real world and remembers an expression his friend had on his face when they passed by in the hallways- An expression of extreme guilt. Realizing his friend was sorry for taking his crush, Dodo's heart is softened as he yells down to the other 2 players, begging got their forgiveness.

The next question is another one Dodo knows the answer to- This time he truthfully shouts down that the answer is the Majority. The silent hooded man listens to him, however the female player does not, proclaiming she is not going to listen to him, purly out of spite even if she ends up dying. As a result, she falls to her death, and Dodo and the hooded man both individually move up 1 floor.

Realizing he only has 1 more floor to go, Dodo is surprised he has made it so far. The next question is one about the very building they are playing the game on, however Dodo has no idea what the correct answer is. The hooded man however then speaks for the first time, claiming the answer was written on a pamphlet near the entrance to the building- He says the answer is the Minority.

Dodo realizes that the hooded man is on the 14th floor and if he was lying, he would go up 6 floors- 1 for getting the question right on the Majority, and an additional 5 for deceiving him. Dodo especially does not want to risk getting the question wrong on the Minority and dying, especially when he is closer than anyone has been so far to clearing the game. After contemplation however, Dodo decides he does not want to live in a world where he us unable to trust others. He ends up listening to the hooded man, and goes with the Minority.

Low and behold, the hooded man was telling the truth, and Dodo clears the game. So glad to be alive, Dodo runs downstairs, wanting to get out of the building as soon as possible. The hooded man however remains on the 15th floor. The next question is another one about the building they are in. Realizing all the remaining questions may be about the building, he regrets not bringing the pamphlet with him. Dodo however shouts down from the roof, having returned with the pamphlet in case the hooded man needed the answers from it. The two work together, with the hooded man shouting up the questions being given, and Dodo finding the answers and shouting them down to him. The final question is asking the favorite word of the president of the company. The correct answer is the extreme Minority- The word: 'Trust.' Dodo is overwhelmed with relief for both surviving the game himself, and helping someone else clear it as well.

Back on the ground, the two discuss Dodo's trauma of the other's deaths with the hooded man attempting comforting him. Dodo is disappointed that the hooded man will not let him follow him. Before he leaves however, Dodo asks the man's name. The man finally removes his hood and responds: 'Arisu.'
