"Nine of Hearts, Part 6" (ハートの 9 パート 6, Hāto no 9, Pāto 6) is the first chapter of the second volume and the sixth chapter overall of the Alice in Borderland RETRY manga, written and illustrated by Haro Aso.
Summary[]
The Nine of Hearts game, "Earth Invasion", continues. The person who gets a "LIFE" card from someone else will be able to enter a shelter. Giving someone a "DEATH" card can nullify the "LIFE" card they received. Giving someone a "DEATH" card can nullify the "LIFE" card they received. If the players use up all seven cards and avoid all alien invasions, it is GAME CLEAR. If they do not receive a life and are attacked by the alien invasion, it is GAME OVER.
Yuzuru Horikawa, wounded by Naomichi Taiga in the previous round, decides to sacrifice himself for the sake of the others and asks them to use their "DEATH" cards on him in order to avoid killing each other. Ryohei Arisu wishes to grant this request at first but then quickly realizes the possibility of someone else not doing the same, which will lead to that person keeping their "DEATH" card and winning at the end. Nanase Onoue attempts to give her "DEATH" card to Taiga but nothing happens, so she concludes that it is impossible to transfer cards to the people who have already died.
The remaining four players exchange "LIFE" cards and enter the safe pods. Yuzuru's last words are for Masatsugu Kitou, whom he asks to stop deceiving the others. This makes Himari Horikawa realize that Taiga died due to Kitou's calculated plan, which also led to her father getting stabbed. Himari promises that she will never forgive Kitou for Yuzuru's death.
The players proceed to Hall 4, which is the replica of Russia. The temperature is low and the room is filled with snow. Kitou instantly receives a "DEATH" card from enraged Himari.
